It's even more true now that "only love will take care of this", no matter how "right" we think we are. That's what will ultimately win. Unity cannot be about uniformity, yet sometimes I can't wrap my brain around another person's beliefs. I do not get it. But if I have an idea, leading by example seems a lot more effective and a lot less painful than trying to convince anyone of anything. Living what I'd like to see. Sometimes the best plan is to keep my mouth shut. I try to remain open and curious because I certainly don't know everything. There is division in my own family, which is not new, but it wasn't so severe that we struggle to sit at the same table very long. We were more focused on laughing about stupid shit, telling stories, and being there for each other.

My doctor says that more people than ever are suffering. I agree, even the air feels heavier. And although the term self-care kinda bugs me (I don't know why exactly but it does), I know this is where it starts....by being kind to ourselves, loving ourselves.
