I wrote this song for people like me who feel scared about the state of our country, our home. It's even more true now that "only love will take care of this". Love for each other and for ourselves. We have to practice self care which is hard for a lot of us. But this is where it starts....by being kind to ourselves, loving ourselves. So that in turn, we can truly love and be of service to others. This is not easy at times, I know, but it is doable. We can do this. Together.

I show up at 9:15 for my appointment, it's just routine
Did you know, it's been a year
since you filled out our simple questionnaire
Are you eating much? How's your sleep?
Do you apply for jobs, you'll never keep?
So many people are feelin' scared
feelin' down about this state of affairs
